"UFC President Dana White called EliteXC President Gary Shaw a "f----- moron" when asked about Shaw's consideration of an increase in the number of weight classes, reports Dave Doyle of Yahoo! Sports.
"One of the reasons the fans love UFC is because there’s only five weight classes and you know who is the real champion in each class," said White. "The stuff he wants to do in MMA are exactly the same thing they’ve done to ruin boxing."
Shaw, a former boxing promoter, recently expressed his concerns regarding the hazards of weight cutting and dehydration. He experimented with two catchweight bouts on the main card of last Saturday's EliteXC: Uprising."
