The UFC officially announced during the UFC 76 broadcast that UFC 78 will take place Saturday, November 17 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The event will be titled "Validation."
Although no bouts have been officially announced by the UFC, these have been confirmed: Frankie Edgar vs. Spencer Fisher and Joe Lauzon vs. Jason Reinhardt.
Other probable bouts are: Dave Terrell vs. Ed Herman, Karo Parisyan vs. TBA and Akihiro Gono vs. Tamdan McCrory.
